Radiative Processes in Astrophysics

Overview

Light is the primary means by which astronomers study the Universe, and in the class we are going to learn about how light and matter interact, bringing radiation fields, E&M, and special relativity with astronomy. A74 will provide you with the foundation to understand various different astrophysical phenomena, from stellar atmospheres to active galactic nuclei

I believe that teaching a course is a living process and I recognize that the approach which I may think is best at the start of the course does not work for students. I will periodically check in with the class to see if things are working. Please tell me if they are not. I would much rather change how I plan to teach the course mid way through than for you all to not get what you need out of this course.

All of the files and assets used for this course are on canvas. If you would like another way to access them they can also be found on github at https://github.com/Emily-Boudreaux-Classes/FA24-A74-Public
